I feel very fortunate to have grown up in Lyme Regis. I have great appreciation for the Jurassic coast, and the unusual fossil preservation that make it so special, and this led me to study a degree in Geology. I have been doing guided fossil walks for Lyme Regis Museum since the start of 2022, I also do outreach days in schools, talking about rocks and dinosaurs! I find this kind of work very rewarding, and it’s also great how many kids now know about Mary Anning and her contributions to science!
